Job Responsibilities
- Accurately pick items from inventory based on order specifications.
- Verify product quantities and descriptions against packing lists.
- Inspect items for damage or defects before packing.
- Efficiently pack items into boxes or containers, ensuring optimal space utilization and protection.
- Label packages with appropriate shipping details and handling instructions.
- Operate packing equipment such as scales and tape dispensers.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily and weekly production targets.
- Assist in inventory management by reporting discrepancies or low stock levels.
- Follow company safety protocols and procedures during all operations.
- Participate in routine inventory audits and cycle counts.
- Load packed orders onto delivery vehicles or staging areas for shipment.
- Handle returns and restocking of items as instructed.
- Record and report any operational or equipment issues to supervisors.
- Adhere to quality standards and continuously seek process improvements.
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven experience as a picker or packer in a warehouse or distribution setting
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to read and interpret order forms and labels
- Basic math skills for counting and inventory management
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, and hand trucks
- Physical stamina to lift and move packages up to 30 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks
- Strong communication skills for team collaboration
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with warehouse safety protocols and guidelines
- Experience with inventory management systems or warehouse management software is a plus
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed
