Cherry Picker & Turret Forklift Operator
Pay Rate: $21.00 - $23.00/hour
Position Overview
We are seeking experienced and safety-conscious Cherry Picker and Turret Forklift Operators to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will have proven experience operating specialized material handling equipment in a fast-paced warehouse environment and a strong commitment to safety and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate cherry picker and turret forklifts to move, locate, stack, and retrieve products in high-rack warehouse settings
- Load and unload trucks, containers, and storage areas efficiently and safely
- Pick and stage orders accurately according to warehouse management system instructions
- Perform pre-shift equipment inspections and report any maintenance issues
- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper product placement
- Follow all safety protocols, OSHA regulations, and company policies
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Meet daily productivity and accuracy goals
- Collaborate with team members and warehouse management to ensure smooth operations
Required Qualifications
- Valid forklift certification for cherry picker and/or turret equipment
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience operating cherry picker and turret forklifts in a warehouse setting
- Ability to work at heights and in narrow aisles safely
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Basic math skills and ability to use warehouse management systems or RF scanners
- Excellent safety record and knowledge of OSHA standards
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including overtime and weekends as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in high-volume distribution or fulfillment centers
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS)
- Certification in multiple forklift types
- High school diploma or equivalent
Work Environment
This position operates in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures. The role requires operating equipment at heights up to 30+ feet and working in narrow aisles. Must be able to work in a fast-paced setting and meet productivity standards.
