Assembly Operator
Location: Somerset, NJ
Available Shifts & Pay Rates
- 1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM | $17.00/hour
- 2nd Shift: Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM | $18.70/hour
Overtime may be required based on business needs.
Position Summary:
We are seeking dependable and motivated Assembly Operators to join our production team in Somerset, NJ. This position involves assembling and preparing electrical cables and wire harnesses according to production specifications. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail and the ability to perform repetitive assembly tasks in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assemble electrical cables, wire harnesses, and related components according to work instructions and quality standards.
- Perform repetitive hand and wrist movements, including torquing, stripping, crimping, and cable assembly operations.
- Use assembly tools, crimping tools, wire cutters, and other equipment safely and efficiently.
- Inspect completed assemblies for accuracy, quality, and compliance with specifications.
- Maintain production standards and meet daily output goals.
- Follow detailed assembly instructions, drawings, and procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
- Assist with additional production and assembly tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Ability to perform constant wrist and hand movements throughout the workday.
- Ability to lift up to 23 pounds on a regular basis.
- Ability to stand for extended periods during the shift.
- Experience in electrical cable assembly, wire harness assembly, or manufacturing is a plus but not required.
- English or bilingual skills are not required.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

- Repetitive motions and standing for extended periods are required.
